How to be sure that your kids don

We are living in a world which is 360 degrees different from what our grandparents’ world was like. We have way busier lifestyle with ever increasing social demands. The economic pressure push both parents to work and juggling jobs with home/kids is such a challenge for couples. There are many after class activities that kids can get themselves enrolled in. Some kids take extra coaching classes as after class activity, others sign up for various clubs like sports, music, arts etc. Parents should encourage their kids to take part in after-class activities as they teach a kid time management and responsibility. These activities also help kids stay away from dangerous activities and bad company. As a parent it’s beneficial for you if you enroll your kid in such after-class activities so you don’t have to rush back home from work to attend them.

Make a schedule
In today’s fast paced world, it’s really hard to keep track of things, so remembering all the important dates and times can be crucial. Make a schedule and keep it save on your cell phone and give one to your child. You can write it on their diary so that after finishing class when they open the diary to jot down the homework, they are reminded of their after-class activity.

Mark your calendar
Some kids have an after-class activity on daily basis and others have it twice or thrice a week. So mark your calendar for the days your kid has to attend an after-class activity.

Put up reminders
If your kid has an after-class activity on a particular day, you should remind them about it in the morning or at breakfast table. Also if your kids are really young you can tell their teachers about the after-class activity they are taking at school and the teacher can direct them to the activity venue. When kids discuss their after-class activity with their parents and friends, there is a likeliness that they can serve as human reminders.

Set an alarm
If your kid has a cell phone and they tend to be forgetful about their after-class activities then make sure they set an alarm on their cell phone which goes off when it’s time to attend the activity.

Sticky Notes
Another way to make sure that your kid does not forget his/her activity is writing it on sticky notes. Put up sticky notes around the house where they are visible like hard boards, refrigerator and doors etc.

Cell phone monitoring tool
Some kids get enrolled in after-class activities to satisfy their parents but in reality they hangout with their friends after school. You need to watch out for that. Install a cell phone monitoring tool like mSpy which will track all the cell phone activities of your kid along with keeping you updated with all MMSs, SMSs, web browsing and call log information. In this way you’ll know if your kid is attending after-class activities or not and what is he upto. Also consult your kids’ teachers if he is attending the after-class activities or not. Tools like mSpy can be really helpful in ensuring that your kid regularly attends the after-class activities.
